Free-shaft Vane Pumps. Trief vane pumps are positive displacement, volumetric and self-priming pumps. They are highly robust pumps, made of cast iron, equipped with a safety valve and sealed by means of a mechanical seal, retainer or mechanical joint.
Features of Free Shaft Vane Pumps
Operating Principle:
- Trief Vane Pumps consist of a grooved rotor mounted eccentrically in a body with a rectangular vane (with channels) in each groove. Each vane is driven by a pin so that the corners of the vanes rub against the inside of the body, creating a sealed chamber between them. The volume of this sealed chamber varies from zero to maximum and then returns to zero in a single revolution of the rotor. Each revolution displaces a constant volume of fluid.
Applications:
- The pumps of the BAL family are perfectly adapted to truck and general transport services, loading and unloading of tankers, storage of fuels and any other non-corrosive liquid without solid particles in suspension. Transferring is fast, uniform and silent.
